Seance on a Sunday Afternoon

Seance on a Sunday Afternoon

“I’m arguing with Jesus – how much more insane can I get?”

The answer for Cecilia is more, much more.

Recently bereaved, and lost to the world and herself, CECILIA finds herself at the legendary Rennes Le Chateau in the South of France, believed by many to be the final resting place of Mary Magdalene, where she hopes and prays for meaning.

SÉANCE IS A LOVE STORY. But who are the lovers?

Writer Stephen Lowe looks at the question of faith in his new piece, a comic meditation on love, life and death. Directed by Matt Aston.

Pre-performance talk at 6.15pm – 7pm

As part of mental health awareness week, this talk will explore broader issues of loss including family, home, employment and how lives are rebuilt from such experiences, with Nicola Monaghan (Head of Creative Writing Nottingham University), local author Ben Taylor (Framework’s Street Outreach Team) and Margaret Ross (Framework employee and former service user).
